QBA Meeting with H.H. Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Farhan Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
The Qatari Businessmen Association had a meeting with H.H. Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Farhan Al Saud, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the State of Qatar, in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, QBA Chairman. The visit comes within the framework of strengthening economic and trade relations between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by QBA First Deputy Mr. Hussain Al-Fardan, along with QBA Board members Sheikh Hamad bin Faisal bin Thani Al Thani, Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani and Mr. Saud bin Omar Al Mana, as well as QBA Members, Sheikh Faisal bin Fahad Al-Thani, Mr. Khaled Al-Mannai, Mr. Salah Al-Jaidah, Mr. Nabil Abu Issa, Mr. Abdul Salam Issa Abu Issa, Mr. Muhammad Al-Rabban, Mr. Maqbool Khalfan, Mr. Abdullah Al-Kubaisi, Mr. Faisal Al-Mana, Mr. Ihsan Al-Khyiami, Mr. Mohammed AlTaf, and Mrs. Sarah Abdullah, QBA Deputy GM.
At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani welcomed H.E. the Saudi Ambassador and thanked him for his visit for its importance in strengthening brotherly relations, expressing the openness of the Qatari Businessmen Association to discuss investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia.
For his part, Prince Mansour bin Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Farhan Al Saud thanked QBA for organizing the meeting, pointing out that his visit aims at strengthening ways of cooperation and facilitating partnerships between the business sectors in the two countries, praising the role played by QBA and the businessmen in strengthening and advancing the economy especially after the current global health crisis
His Excellency also expressed his interest in knowing more about the Qatari businessmen and invited them to visit the Kingdom and get acquainted with the various investment opportunities in light of the economic and dynamic development that the Kingdom is witnessing, through the vision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2030.
In return QBA chairman spoke about the great opportunities available in the Qatari market which the Saudi businessmen can benefit from and the favorable investment climate, pointing out that the Qatari economy is moving towards diversification according to the country’s national strategy and is keen to strengthen economic relations and move towards the industrial sector as a main focus in the diversification plan and reduce dependency on hydrocarbon resources and invest in all sectors.
For their part, QBA Members gave an overview of the various economic fields of their companies and the investment sectors they are interested in, stressing their readiness to develop cooperation between the two parties and to study possible investment projects in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Faisal thanked the Saudi Ambassador for his visit, expressing QBA’s readiness to cooperate with their counterparts and the private sector in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to achieve the economic interests of both countries.
