The Qatari Businessmen Association meeting with US Womens Global initiative delegation
The Qatari Businessmen Association met with US Women's Global Initiative delegation, during a business dinner organized in cooperation with the Qatari Embassy in Washington. The dinner was also joined by board members of the Qatari Businesswomen Association.
The US delegation was headed by Mrs. Marcia Dyson, founder and CEO and included a group of prominent women and business entrepreneurs in the United States and aimed at creating different communication channels and exploring new areas for cooperation.
From QBA, the dinner was attended by Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, QBA Board member and from QBA members Sheikh Mohamed Bin Faisal Al Thani, Mr. Salah Al Jaidah, Mr. Khalid Al-Mannai, Mr. Ashraf Abu Issa and Mr. Yousef Al Mahmoud, attended, as well as Ms. Sarah Abdullah, QBA Deputy GM. The Qatari Businesswomen’s Association also participated in the meeting, with board members, Ms. Awatif Al-Dafaa, Ms. Amal Al-Athem, Ms. Natra Saeed, Ms. Mashael Al-Ansari attended in addition to Ms. Jiskala Khalayli, the Executive Director of the Association.
As for the US delegation, it included a group of distinguished women in the fields of advertising, media and public relations, in addition to education, marketing and design. Mrs. Marcia Dyson, founder and CEO of the initiative, expressed her happiness with this meeting.
She also referred to the strength of the Qatari-US relations and the need to change the traditional existing strategic partnership between the two countries and constantly work to explore new innovative opportunities for cooperation to include all sectors, and that she aims through this visit to exchange views and ideas on how to develop these relations.
For his part, Sheikh Nawaf bin Nasser Al Thani welcomed the delegation, stressing out the importance of American investments and creating new partnerships, given the expertise and global competitive advantages that Qatari companies enjoy and the capabilities that qualify them to attract American investors to their markets.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal Al Thani also welcomed the guests, highlighting the importance of supporting women and entrepreneurs through marketing and promoting their businesses and facilitating ways to develop their projects, praising the need to continue creating channels of communication with the different countries.
During the meeting, discussions on the role of the private sector in supporting the national economy were discussed, stressing out the need to establish partnerships and exploit investment opportunities in global markets.
