Mr. Sherida Saad Jubran Al Kaabi

H.E. Sherida Saad Jubran Al Kaabi is a highly-respected former diplomat and a leading authority on the history of the Gulf. He served on the committee which formed Qatar’s new constitution and continues to be a prominent businessman in the country.
He was Qatar’s ambassador to India and Egypt during the period 1974 to 1978. He has represented State of Qatar as Ambassador at the Arab League in Tunis 1978-1980.
He was Qatar’s ambassador to the Court of St. James from 1980 to1989, during the time of Margaret Thatcher’s premiership and a time of significant relations between Qatar and Britain.
He has worked in the capacity of Under Secretary in Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Housing of State of Qatar. He was member of the Consultative Committee of GCC Head of States. He is an active member of the Qatari Businessmen Association and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He has widely travelled around the world and has held board member positions in various prestigious organizations in the country.
He is presently the Chairman of Al-Balagh Trading & Contracting Co. W.L.L., which is active in the fields of Construction, Trading, Oil & Gas, Medical & Scientific Equipments, IT Solutions, Joint Ventures and Sponsorships in the State of Qatar.

1958 to March 1974 Worked for Qatar Petroleum Company in low and middle Management positions.
March 1974 to 1976 Qatar Ambassador in the Republic of India.
1977 to 1978 Qatar Ambassador in the Republic of Egypt.

1980 to 1989 Qatar Ambassador at the Court of St. James.
