The Qatari Businessmen Association had a meeting with H.E. Mr. Pawel Jablonski, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, in the presence of Mr. Janusz Janke, Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the State of Qatar. The meeting aimed to discuss ways to enhance economic relations between the two countries in various fields and study the potential investment opportunities. The meeting was headed from the Qatari side by Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatari Businessmen Association, in the presence of Mr. Sherida Al Kaabi, QBA Board member and Mr. Khalid Al Mannai, QBA Member, in addition to Mrs. Sarah Abdullah, Deputy GM of the Qatari Businessmen Association.

At the beginning of the meeting, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani welcomed the Deputy Minister, stressing out his interest in learning about the investment opportunities in the various economic sectors, in the Republic of Poland, which he visited more than once, pointing to QBA’s interest and keenness to build a network of partners around the world to facilitate the entry of the Qatari businessmen to different markets, adding, "We welcome cooperation with Polish businessmen, whether in Qatar, Poland or other markets."

For his part, H.E. Mr. Pawel Jablonski, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy, thanked QBA for organizing this meeting and said that his visit aims at developing the business collaboration with the Qatari side, especially in light of the organization of the second Polish-Qatari Forum, which focuses on the information technology sector in its current edition held in Qatar, after organizing the first edition of the forum in cooperation with QBA last May virtually, confirming his happiness with the success of the forum to strengthen the bilateral ties between the two countries.
Mr. Pawel also added that such forums aim at expanding the economic, trade and investment relations, and provide platforms for the private sector to build partnerships that contribute to maximizing its role in the economic process.
During the meeting, all parties discussed various economic sectors of common interest such as agriculture, manufacturing, transportation, technology and information technology that interferes in all sectors and industries.

Mr. Sherida Al Kaabi also spoke about the competitiveness and experiences that Qatari companies enjoy, as well as the investment incentives offered by the State of Qatar to foreign investors, calling on Polish investors to learn about the Qatari market and the huge investment opportunities offered by the private sector especially with the approach of the 2022 World Cup.
On the other hand, Mr. Powell said that “the core of the Polish government's policy now is digitization, which requires many investments, as the country has already started 6 years ago investing in infrastructure, transport, energy and other fields, in addition to around 600 Billion $ volume of investments for the next 10 years, which means a lot of opportunities to benefit from the Qatari experience, in the same way the country has invested and initiated years ago”

At the end of the meeting, they discussed organizing a delegation to visit Poland and study the cooperation opportunities on ground
