He is the Chairman of several public companies, including Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB), EZDAN Holding Group – one of the largest and most reputed companies in the State of Qatar.

Shk. Dr. Khalid is the founder of the Islamic Bank of Britain and the majority shareholder and senior executive of several privately held companies. He is also the co-founder and benefactor of a number of non-profit organizations and business associations, serving on the board of the Qatar Society for Rehabilitation and Special Needs and as second deputy to the chairman of the Qatar Businessmen Association.

Prior to receiving his PhD in “Succession in Family Owned Business”, Shk. Dr. Khalid pursued both undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Industrial Management and Technology. H.E Sheikh Dr. Khalid bin Thani bin Abdullah Al-Thani holds various medals and awards of which is The Jordanian Independence of First Degree.
