Meeting of the Qatari Businessmen Association with His Excellency Mr. Felipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique

His Excellency Mr. Felipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique, met with His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, QBA Chairman on the sidelines of the President’s visit to the country. The meeting aimed at introducing the Republic of Mozambique and promoting the investment projects it offers.

Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani welcomed the President and expressed his happiness for this meeting and highlighted the interest of the Qatari businessmen in cooperating with their counterparts in Mozambique.
He also expressed his interest in learning more about the investment opportunities in Mozambique, stressing out that the Qatari private sector is always looking forward to exploring and searching for new investment opportunities.
In his term, the President expressed his happiness for visiting Qatar and learning about the Qatari investment climate closely. He called on Qatari investors to explore Mozambique and talked about the investment opportunities available in the fields of infrastructure, energy, gas, fisheries, transportation, agriculture, real estate development and mining. He also added that Mozambique has become an attractive destination to a lot of investors, thanks to the large amounts of oil and gas reserves, in addition to its reliance on agriculture as one of the leading industries.
At the end of the meeting, Sheikh Faisal expressed his interest in studying the market in Mozambique and the available investment opportunities, stressing out the importance of opening new markets and enhancing cooperation between both countries and building strong relations between them.
It is worth noting that the volume of trade exchange between Qatar and Mozambique amounted to about 71 million Qatari riyals in 2021.
