The Qatari businessmen Association organized a press conference in its headquarters on 2 march 2009 to announce the organization of the Arab-South American Business Forum, QBA is organizing the forum in collaboration with the ministry of business and trade and the organizing committee of the 2nd summit of the Arab-South American countries.
The press conference was attended by QBA’s chairman Sheikh Fasial Bin Qassim Al Thani,Mr.Saud Jassim Al Juffairi director of the directorate of Economic affairs at the Ministry of business and trade ,and the ambassadors of the south American countries in doha.
This forum is a networking conference that acts as an international business platform; where business leaders of the Arab world and South American countries meet together to strengthen business and trade relations, and fashion new investment opportunities. The Forum also acts as a hub where policy proposals on economic cooperation can be formulated, since it takes place adjacent to the political summit of South American and Arab countries.
The Arab-South American Business Forum aims to congregate investors and key business persons from 34 countries in both regions in order to promote investments and commercial ties amongst their private sectors at large. The Forum will focus on means to develop business partnerships and activities, which can build genuine bridges towards economic growth and integration between the Arab and South American business Communities.
Further to the bi-regional seminars and presentations on investment opportunities, This Forum represents an outstanding platform for networking and constructive win-win business meetings.
