Following the remarkable success of the First Forum that took place in Seoul, South Korea, by end of last January, Qatari Business Association (QBA) together with Korea International Trade Association (KITA) organized the Second Qatari-Korean Business Forum in the Four Seasons Hotel, Doha, on March 28th, 2007. The second Forum was held under the patronage of HE Mr. Roh Moo-Hyun, President of the Republic of Korea, who also addressed a keynote speech during the event. HE Mr. Abdullah Hamad Al Attiyah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy and Industry, is going  presented a keynote speech during the rich agenda of the forum.

The First Forum witnessed a large group of Qatari and Korean top government officials and business leaders. It also featured the signing ceremony of a MOU between the two leading private sector organizations in both countries, namely Qatari Business Association and KITA. The agreement aimed at identifying opportunities of economic cooperation between companies of both countries.

the Second Qatari-Korean Business Forum will sustained the same high level of connectivity highlighted by the honorary patronage and visit of HE the President of South Korea for the Forum in Qatar. which is expected to increase the economic and business cooperation between the two countries by utilizing Qatari resources through the Korean technical expertise in many disciplines such as telecoms and information technology, medical equipment, machinery, construction and building materials, and many others.

It is worth mentioning that Korea International Trade Association (KITA) includes 65 thousand distinguished Korean companies and has branches worldwide such as New York and Brussels. In addition,QBA and KITA  facilitated match-making meetings for  a leading group of top Korean manufacturers, importers and investors attended the Forum aiming to demonstrate their capacities and to find Qatari partners who are keen to establish business deals and interrelations with them.
