QBA board members held their 23th regular meeting
QBA Members attended
On the 25th February, 2010 at 1100am, QBA board members held their 23th regular meeting in the office of its General Secretary Mr. Issa Abdul Salam Abu Issa.
The meeting was headed by QBA Chairman Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani and was attended by: 2nd Deputy Chairman Dr. Sheikh Khaled Bin Thani Al Thani, General Secretary Mr. Issa Abdul Salam Abu Issa, and QBA Board Members: Sheikh Nawaf Bin Nasser Al Thani, Sheikh Hamad Bin Faisal Al Thani, Mr. Omar Al Mana, Mr. Sherida Jubran Al Kaabi and QBA’s General Manager Mr. Hashem Mustafawi Al Hashimi.
The board approved minutes of the previous meeting, and discussed the results of QBA meetings with H.E. Dr. Khaled Bin Mohamed Al Attiya Minister of State for International Cooperation and acting Minister of Business and Trade, and Dr. Ibrahim Al Ibrahimi, Secretary General for General Secretariat for Development Planning,where issues of the general economic situation and the role and Activities of the Qatari Businessmen Association in this periodwere tackled .
The board also welcomed the newly joined member Mr. Salah Mohamed Al Jeidah, CEO of Qatar Islamic Bank hoping that his valuable participation will be the beginning of a fruitful cooperation ,and would further enhance QBA’s efforts in serving the goals of development of the Qatari private sector.
The meeting witnessed a demonstration of important events and initiatives organized by the association in the past month including the Qatari Turkish Business forum that was Attended by HE the prime minister of turkey Mr.Recep Tayip Erdogan,and the meeting with the British business delegation headed by the first Secretary of state ,Secretary of state of Business ,Innovation and skills,lord President of the council of the united kingdom Lord Mandelson.
At the end QBA’s board discussed the Memebers participation in the following events
- Syrian Investment Forum on the 3rd & 4th March 2010 in Syria.
- 5th Finance & Investment in Qatar Forum on 25th & 26th March in Paris.
- Qatari Syrian Business Forum on 18th & 19th April in Syria.
