Press Conference in Istanbul to announce the organization of the High Tech port by Musiad Qatar

The Organizing Committee of the High Tech port by Musiad Qatar High Level Advanced and Strategic Technology Exhibition and 19th International Business Forum (IBF)'s held a press conference in Istanbul on Tuesday 29th September 2015 at Ciragan Palace Kempinski Hotel to announce the organization of the conference this year in Doha under the Patronage of H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the state of Qatar and with the Presence of Ministers from Both Countries

From the Qatari side, the press Conference was attended by H.E. Abdullah Fakhroo, chairman of the Permanent Committee for organizing conferences (PCOC), Staff Brigadier Mohammed Khalifa Al Kuwari, Vice chairman of PCOC, Mr. Hassan Al Sayed, Assistant Undersecretary of Government Information, ICT Qatar, in addition to Ms. Sarah Abdullah, Deputy General Manager, Qatari Businessmen Association.

From the Turkish side, the press conference was attended by Mr. Nail Olpak, President of MUSIAD, Mr. Erol Yarar, Head of International Business Forum (IBF), Members of MUSAID Executive Committee and the CEO of High tech port exhibition.

H.E. Abduallah Fakhroo talked about the organization of the 19th round of the conference this year in Doha and said “The organization of the conference is the result of the evolution of the strong relations between the two countries and the activation of cooperation in the economic and commercial fields, where both Doha and Ankara aspire to increase trade volume, which reached 769 million dollars in 2013 between the two countries"

H.E. also added “Major ministries and economic entities in Qatar will be participating in the conference this year, such as the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Qatari Businessmen Association, Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Qatar Airways; also from the Turkish side, Ministries and high level Economic and commercial organizations will be participating

On the other hand, MÜSİAD General Manager Nail Olpak said: “High Tech Port by MÜSİAD will be another milestone for future cooperation between two countries that are tied together with a common history. With partnerships in advanced and strategic sectors, Qatar and Turkey will soon become global powers and historical partners”

Also staff Brigadier Mohammed Al Kuwari, Committee vice chairman has explained that Under the guidance of His Excellency the Minister of Defense, the Qatari armed forces is pleased to participate in the High Tech port Exhibition and 19th International Business Forum (IBF)'s, and stated that “ the participation in this exhibition and exhibitions in general is considered one of the pillars of cooperation between the two sides in order to consolidate the techniques that would help promote the military capabilities of both countries and support the creation of military industries and advanced skills to keep up with the developments in the defense field

As mentioned by Mr. Erol Yarar, Head of International Business Forum (IBF) “Qatar is a very important country for Turkish businesses. We will enhance strategic partnerships between Turkey and Qatar not only with words and promises, but with actual activities. We will show the World what Islamic countries can do together.”

In this context, Mr. Hassan Al Sayed Assistant Undersecretary of ICT Government Programs said “We are glad to work with our Turkish counterparts to make this forum a success" confirming also “Our leaders appreciate the key role of technology, thus we are giving a high importance to such collaboration in this domain ".

As asserted by Ms. Sarah Abdullah, Deputy General Manager for the Qatari Businessmen association that The promising relations between the two countries and the depth of cooperation at the political and economic levels, is a powerful incentive for the private sector to set up partnerships with his Turkish counterpart; she also said, "The Qatari market is a new market and rich with opportunities that the Turkish companies can take advantage of. Also the Qatari economy seeks to diversify its income resources and reduce dependency on oil and gas sectors and focus on the development of other economic sectors such as production and service, and certainly the technology sector is an important pillar of this plan”

Finally, the organizing committee announced that there will be another Press conference in Doha that will take place on Sunday 4th October 2015 at Sheraton Hotel to highlight on the conference’s details, sessions and Participants.
