Mr.Abdulla M. Al-Ibrahim Al-Mannai has been in business since 1965. He started his own establishment (AMPEX) in 1987. From 1965 to 1987, he managed and co-owned other companies which were involved in the Livestock, agriculture products, and contracting. For  AMPEX activity , please refer to its own profile.

Mr. Mannai is on the board of directors for the Commercial Bank of Qatar, he is a founder member of Qatar Livestock Company , a co-owner of Unifood Company and was a founder member of United Development Company.Mr. Mannai owns with his son , Mr. Saleh Al- Mannai Qatar Marble and Islamic Mosaic Company . Mr. Mannai activities extened to beyond the State of Qatar, he has invested in Lebanon and is also active in Egypt.

The main activity of AMPEX is the representation of International firms in the State of Qatar, with the aim of assisting them to conduct business successfully. AMPEX has assisted manufacturers in the promotion and sales of their products and services. AMPEX has also assisted contractors and has secured the award of projects in their favor and has helped them to execute these projects successfully .

AMPEX sister company , Qatar Marble and Islamic Mosaic Company is involved in the stocking of various types of marble and granite products form all over the world. It enjoys a very well equipped fabrication facility with a large number of highly skilled professional in the cutting, shaping , installation and final polishing of stone products.
