The Qatari
Businessmen Association hosted on 23 april 2008 a luncheon in
honor of Mr.bill White the Mayor of Houston and his accompanying
delegation in the Sheraton hotel doha Qatar.
The
delegation included in addition to Mr.white the US Arab
Bilateral Chamber of Commerce Chairman ,city official,and
prominent businessmen and cCEO from energy ,engineering,and
telecom companies.
The Qatari
side was headed by the Qatari Businessmen ASSOCIATION Chairman
Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani ,Mr.Hussain Al Fardan QBA
Board Member ,Sheikh Hamad Bin Faisal Al Thani QBA Board
Member,and QBA Members:Mr.Maqboul habib Khalfan,Mr.Mohammed
Khalid Al Mana,Mr.Ibrahim Al Jaidah ,Mr.Nasser Sulieman Al
Haidar ,the luncheon was also attended by Sheikh Abdul Aziz
Bin Jassim Al Thani Adminstrative Director of QP, Sheikh Hamad
Bin jabor Bin jassim Al Thani general manager of the General
Secreterait of the Planning Council and Mr.Bassam Massouh the
General Manager of QBA.
The
luncheon was followed by a press conference during which QBA’s
chairman welcomed the US delegation saying that this visit is a
good step in activating the economic cooperation between the
business communities on both sides.
Mr.white
thanked the Qatari business delegation for organizing the
gathering and giving the delegation an opportunity to get an
insight of the Qatari economy and ways of mutual chances of
business cooperation through meeting major figures of the
Qatari business community.
At the end of the event gift
exchanges took place between the Qatari and the Houston side
